General District Election

Trustee Area 2 and Trustee Area 3 (see Trustee Area Map) Board Member positions are up for election in the November General Election.

November 5, 2024 General Election Calendar Brief

The Board of Directors is responsible for establishing the policies and structure of the District. Additionally, they provide for the faithful implementation of those policies, which is the responsibility of the General Manager.

Serving as a member of the Board provides an opportunity to represent and advocate not only for the recreational needs of their Trustee Area but that of the greater Chico community. CARD’s Governing Board is comprised of 5 members representing the Trustee Area in which they reside.

Required Qualifications:

18 years or older
Must be a registered voter of the District
Must live in appropriate Trustee Areas.
Not convicted of a felony and no misdemeanor convictions for at least four years.
