At the end of the month, did you ever wonder why the bank balance does not stretch far enough? Learn how to use the popular “QuickBooks” accounting software to develop a family budget, manage bills and debt payments. Attendees will also learn to develop easy to implement, family financial management skills. This class is geared for young adults to seniors. Participants will learn simple financial management skills in “QuickBooks”, developing a budget, paying bills, and reconciling bank and credit cards. Learn how to compare your “real expenses” to your family budget goals and develop a realistic family financial management plan.

| | Introduction To Geocaching - NEW
Geocaching is a family friendly sport that blends outdoor adventure with technology. Use an inexpensive GPS receiver to find “treasures” hidden by other geocachers – it’s fun, educational and great exercise. You will learn by hunting for hidden caches, so wear comfortable shoes. Bring your GPS receiver (there will be a limited number of loaner units available). There is more information available at geocaching.com.

| | Basic Body Care Products
Learn the basic principles of the 'Hand-Milling' process for adding essential oils, herbs and colors. Also, learn how to make therapeutic lip balms, hand creams and body lotions using ordinary kitchen equipment and the finest vegetable oils. Take home 2 bars of hand-milled soap, samples of soothing lip balms and body creams that incorporate a rich selection of nutrients and essential oils. Supplies are available from the instructor. There is a $15 supply fee payable to the instructor at the class meeting. Registration deadline is 5 days prior to course start date.

Learn how to make aromatic and luxurious soap using pure vegetable oils and ordinary kitchen equipment. This 'hands-on' class includes a step-by-step procedure and materials for making 1 quart of soap per student. Soap making books and supplies are available from the instructor. Bring a small warm blanket to class for wrapping and insulating the soap overnight. There is a $15 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.
