EARLY SWIM LESSON REGISTRATION
Lifeguards Wanted
CARD will be accepting applications for Lifeguard/Swim Instructors through February 24th. Applications and Job Descriptions are available at the CARD office and online at www.chicorec.com. All applicants must have CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Title 22, and WSI certificates to be considered for the position. Applicants enrolled in the appropriate courses will also be considered pending completion of the classes.
Chico AquaJets Swim Team
A year round competitive swim team for children ages 5 and up. The AquaJets encourage, enhance and provide a competitive swimming experience for the entire spectrum of swimmers from the beginner to the more experienced. It also offers a highly rewarding and FUN group experience in the sport of swimming. Swimmers can join at any time throughout the year. For practice times, locations and to register, please call 518-7946. Cost is $65/Month for one swimmer, a family discount is offered to each additional swimmer. Lifeguard Training
This class is necessary for people interested in working as a lifeguard. CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Title 22 are included in this course. Attendance is required for all hours of class. Participants must meet the following pre-requisites: 15 years of age at time of class (must show age verification), swim 300 yards, submerge to a minimum depth of 10 feet and retrieve a 10-pound object. Participants will have to bring $10 with them for certification cards. Each class is limited to 20 participants. Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
This class is dedicated to developing the skills you will need to instruct and plan courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety Program. There will be a pre-course skills test. Attendance is required for all hours of class. Fee includes certification and text books. Participants must be 16 years of age at time of class (must show age verification). Participants will have to bring $10 with them for certification cards. Class is limited to the first 16 participants. Lifeguard Training Recertification
This class is for Lifeguards who need to renew their certificates. Participants must show proof of current LGT and CPR/FPR. Participants will have to bring $10 with them for certification cards.
