 Sandlot Football- New and Improved
We have reformatted Sandlot Football to include more fun and more game play! This instructional program is open to all youth in K-2 grade. Coaches will work with players the first two weeks to introduce the sport of football using basic skill techniques and formations. The last four weeks there will be 20 minute practices and a formal 40 minute game each day. Fundamentals and simple game strategy will be taught throughout the entire program. Show up the first day and be ready to play! You will not be contacted by a coach for this program. DeGarmo Park. Jersey is optional.

Elementary and Jr. High Flag Football Leagues
Nothing says Fall like football. Join our fun recreational league. Coaches will conduct practice once per week and will inform the team of location and time. All teams will be formed using the team formation policy. All participants will play at least half of every game. Game times will be between 4PM-7PM. Jersey is mandatory and can be purchased at the CARD Office for $12. JERSEYS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON MONDAY, AUGUST 9 FOR PURCHASE!!

Flag Football Volunteer Coaches Needed
In order to keep costs down in our flag football program we utilize volunteer coaches! If you are interested in volunteering your time to coach a flag football team and help give the players a love of the game, please follow the steps below!
1. Turn in a completed volunteer application form (also available at the CARD Office) by August 18 to the CARD Office or email egonzales@chicorec.com
2. Attend the mandatory pre-season Coaches meetings on August 25 at 6:15pm in the CARD Community Center Main Hall AND August 26 at 6:15pm in the Room 3 at the CARD Office. BOTH MEETINGS ARE MANDATORY. All coaches must fill out paperwork and be fingerprinted.
3. Start the season and make a difference! (One practice a week and one game a week)
