Guppy: Level Two Fundamental Aquatics Skills
This level marks the beginning of true locomotion skills. Students learn to float without support and recover to a vertical position. Students further develop simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on front and back that lay the foundation of further strokes. Prerequisite: students should already be able to enter the water independently and travel at least 5 yards. In addition, students should be able to glide on their front at least two body lengths without instructor assistance.
