Day Trips

Climb aboard our bus and leave the driving to us!  ALL trips include transportation from ChicoParadise, and Oroville. Detailed flyers on each trip are available at the CARD office or online at  
Please make sure you register early as many trips get canceled due to lack of enrollment 1 week prior to the trip registration deadline.     
All cancellations must be made to the CARD Office and not to the tour escort. In the event of a cancellation, refunds will be based on the cost to CARD at the time the cancellation is made, i.e.: hotels, meals, admissions, etc. Last date for cancellation/refund is thirty (30) days prior to scheduled tour, unless another date is listed.

Beach Blanket Babylon

Beach Blanket Babylon the world's longest running musical revue and one of the most popular San Francisco attractions, is a high energy pop culture satire. The San Francisco Chronicle says Beach Blanket Babylon is a "must see" and gives the show its highest ratings! Celebrating over 15,000 performances, Beach Blanket Babylon has become a world renowned record-breaking success. Seen by nearly six million people from around the world, this internationally acclaimed musical revue continues to delight audiences at Club Fugazi in the City's North Beach district with its hilarious spoofs of pop culture, spectacular costumes and outrageously gigantic hats!  Must register by 2/24/17.

Monet: The Early Years (deYoung, San Francisco)

"Monet: The Early Years will be the first major US exhibition devoted to the inital phase of Claude Monet's (French, 1840-1926) career. Through approximately sixty paintings, the exhibition demonstrates the radical invention that marked the artist's development during the formative years of 1858-1872. In this period the young painter developed his unique visual language and technique, creating striking works that manifested his interest in painting textures and the interplay of light upon surfaces". Trip includes transportation and entrance to the museum. Must register by 4/7.

Phantom of the Opera

Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera will come to Sacramento as part of a brand new North American Tour. Cities are raving that this breathtaking production is "bigger and better than ever before." The production boasts many exciting special effects including the show's legendary chandelier. The beloved story and thrilling score - with songs like "Music of the Night," "All I Ask Of You," and "Masquerade" will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this Phantom one of the largest productions now on tour. Father's Day Trip

Enjoy a 1-hour narrated boat cruise on the Sacramento River, as well as a 45-minute train ride in a private VIP car. There is time on your own for exploring Old Town and taking in a No Host Lunch. Must register by 5/26/17.
