A Bug's Life Camp

Bring your little ladybug or grasshopper down for a fun-filled week of both indoor and outdoor activities sure to please!  We will explore the life cycle of a butterfly first hand, get down and dirty in our working garden, and take a look at life from a bug’s perspective!  Campers will squirm and wiggle their way through a crafty curriculum, Bug Bingo, and the Cootie Bug Race.  They’re sure to leave with a brand new “web” of friends!  Campers should bring a snack and water bottle each day.  Please print the Program Information Sheet and fill out the Emergency Contact Form.  Forms are also available at the CARD Office.  Camp maximum is 16 children. Around the World Camp

Your passport to fun awaits as we explore five countries in five days!  Each day of camp will offer an exciting new place to discover, as we cook, craft, and travel our way through the fascinating cultures of the world!  Your child’s passport will be packed full of great memories by the end of the week, along with their love for discovering new places.  It’s sure to be a fun-filled trip for all, full of games, songs, and much more!  Campers should bring a snack and water bottle each day.  A complete list of required equipment is available on the Program Information Sheet link below or at the CARD Office. Camp Chi-Da-Ca Papoose Camp
 
Introduce your child to the great outdoors at Chi-Da-Ca, CARD’s longest running camp! Kids can’t help but have fun, get dirty and come home worn out from all the activity that takes place in Hooker Oak Park by upper Bidwell Park. The week is spent singing camp songs, making crafts, going on nature hikes, playing games and cooling off in the water. Friday includes a Pow-Wow for family and friends. Buddy requests must be submitted to the CARD office prior to the week of camp. Papoose camp t-shirts may be purchased at the CARD office, on an individual basis, for any week of camp for $10. Camp is open at 7:30 AM for parents who need care at that time.  We would like all campers there by 9:00 AM.

ShowKids 'Fairytale Fantasyland’ Dance Camp

Show Kids Dance Camp is a two-week camp offering children ages 4-10 years an experience in the wonderful world of Dance and Theatre!  Campers will be provided with an introduction to several dance styles in preparation for performances during the last week of camp.  A great opportunity for children to explore their own creativity through movement and meet new friends!  Special camp shirts, crafts, games, prizes, performance and a cast party are all included.  Please print the Program Information Sheet and fill out the Emergency Contact Form.  Forms are also available at the CARD Office.  Instructors: Melinda Buzan & Sheree Henning. Jedi Engineering using Lego® Materials

Mine, Craft, Build: Adventure Game using Lego® Materials

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® bricks!  Resourcefulness, creativity, and cooperation come together in this unique building adventure game; roll the dice to mine for resources, and use these resources to build special items to help in our adventures! Build a Zoo, create a Medieval Castle, and design a Tree House Village!  This LEGO® experience is an original game designed by Play-Well instructors inspired by the popular game, Minecraft.  Students will have a blast, even without any prior experience with Minecraft or LEGO® toys.  Please print the Program Information Sheet and fill out the Emergency Contact Form.  Forms are also available at the CARD Office.   Play-Well TEKnologies Instructor: Amber Drake.  Dorothy F.
