Sketchers! Drawing Club

Everyone grab a pencil and join the Sketchers! There is so much to learn about using pencils and charcoal. You will be amazed at the techniques that your child will learn, and the pieces of art they will come home with.  There is a $10 supply fee payable to the instructor on the first day of class.  No Class the week of spring break.

Watercolor Painting

Painting for 1^st-3^rd Graders

Create dazzling art with bright and beautiful water-based paints. Using transparent and opaque colors, we will paint vibrant still life, landscapes, abstracts, and self-portraits. Creative Fun in Drawing and Painting

Whether just beginning, or wanting to improve your art skills, this class will cover the fundamentals with an emphasis on fun! Instruction includes painting and drawing in many mediums such as charcoal, watercolor pencils, tempra paints, and collage. You will learn about perspective, mixing your own colors, contour drawing, shading, texture and composition. Develop your own creative style of art in a supportive atmosphere. There is a $30 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. Wednesdays in Clay

This class welcomes different ability levels, but especially welcomes the person who claims they have no art ability. You will learn basic hand building techniques in clay which will enable you to create your own art, both functional and sculptural. This class is designed to help you tap into the creative, playful part of yourself. Art - it's good for you. There is a $10 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. Art from the Inside Out

Do you need a creative boost? Think you don't have a creative bone in your body? This art class is not a techniques class, but a class that fosters a spontaneous and expressive use of pastel, clay, collage and water colors. When you let go of judging, and explore freely, a process of self discovery and art begins to happen. You will leave class inspired, in touch with your inner child, and ready to live life as a work of art. No art experience is necessary. Acrylic Painting

In Basics 1, you will see the colors unfold before your eyes. In this beginning acrylics class, you will learn the techniques to use to create artwork that you will be proud to display. Learn the variety of media options that are available and used in acrylic painting. Basics 2 will build on Basics 1 by developing the composition and the direction of basic drawing skills for painting as well as an advanced level of color mixing and blending.
