Fitness For Parkinson's and Movement Disorder Patients
Don't be afraid to move! Studies have shown that exercise can slow down the progression of many movement disorders. This class is designed for anyone suffering from a movement disorder such as Parkinson's or Multiple Sclerosis or anyone who has challenges with balance. The class is spent seated and focuses on chair aerobics, strength training and stretching. Instructors can modify the exercises to the participants fitness level and needs. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move in and come with an open mind. You will be amazed at what you can do!  CARD Community Center.

Urban Pole Walking

Put your body to good use with a single exercise! Walking with poles is a simple, accessible and enjoyable total body exercise. With each stride, you will work every major muscle group. You will be guided through the steps of this increasingly popular pole walking technique. You don't work harder; you work smarter. Poles provided for use in class. Zumba!             

Catch the Zumba fever! This new workout has hit the country by storm. One hour of dancing, and you will get a great workout while having fun. Zumba combines Latin and international music with dynamic, yet simple exercise moves. Zumba motivates the body to efficiently burn calories, tone all muscle groups and improve the cardiovascular system. Instructor: Sara Camara, certified Zumba instructor. Just for Women Indoor Strength Training

Tired of the gym? Can't afford a personal trainer? Well, use your lunchtime wisely and join this small group strength training class. You will have a customized workout plan using BOSU, stability balls, gliders, free weights and bands. Joyful Yoga for Seniors

If you want to increase your strength, flexibility, coordination and agility, this gentle chair yoga class is for you. Through physical movements and breathing techniques, you can increase mental clarity, memory, concentration, and overall body awareness. Fun & Fit

This class emphasizes fun while getting fit!  Starting with a gentle stretch you will prepare your body for exercise and encourage strengthening and flexibility of the body. Then move into a more active exercise program where emphasis will be placed on increasing your heart rate by using chair aerobics and weight work to strengthen and tone your muscles.
