Babysitting 101
Think you are ready to start babysitting? Get some hands on training before you start! This workshop is for boys and girls to introduce care, feeding, changing and proper handling of infants and young toddlers. Home safety, parent/sitter responsibilities, proper discipline and ideas to entertain children are discussed. Get real practice changing a baby on anatomically correct dolls. Please bring lunch. Certificates are given after class completion to include when you apply for a babysitting job; good reference/resume builder! Instructor: Heather Nash, BA in Child Development. Massage for Health and Relaxation
Touch - the most natural, comforting and ancient healing art! Your hands have the potential to bring relaxation to your family and friends, to increase their vitality and to alleviate aches and pains. This workshop will introduce practical and accessible skills. We will focus on common problem areas such as the neck, shoulders and back. This is a hands-on class. AARP Mature Driving Classes
The AARP Driver Safety Program is the nation's first and largest classroom refresher course for drivers aged 50 and older. This class is offered by AARP each month at the CARD Community Center. Completion certification is good for 3 years and provides insurance discounts to most companies. Payment is required at the time of registration and checks are payable to AARP.
