Echo Newsletter

The Echo is a free bi-monthly newsletter published by the Chico Area Recreation and Park District Fun After "50" Program.  It includes information regarding all of the activities and services for the month, as well as news items of interest. Call to get on our mailing list.

Grandmother's Club

The Grandmother's Club meets at the CARD Community Center on the first Thursday of each month from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm.  This lively group is a social club and welcomes all interested grandmothers to join their monthly potluck luncheons and enjoy the companionship of long-time members. Raffles, bingo and craft projects are just a few of their fun-filled activities. 

Book Club                                 NEW!

Those who love literature can now gather in the fireside lounge at the CARD Center to discuss great reads with other book lovers.  This book club meets the last Tuesday of each month to discuss a book selected by the group.  A volunteer instructor facilitates the discussion.  Members can share their thoughts about the plot, characters and how the book affected their lives.  There is no charge and refreshments are provided.
