Online Drivers Education Course for Teens

Learn to drive the right way! This is an interactive, online course with videos, animated driving scenarios and sample test questions. Learn the rules of the road, major causes of traffic collisions, DMV procedures and much more. Receive a DMV approved Certificate of Completion - required for teens under 17½ years old to obtain a learner's permit and driver's license. A licensed instructor is available to answer any questions. Sign up for the month that you would like to begin.

Joy of Computers!

This course is an introduction to the computer. We will start from the bare bones basics, from learning the physical pieces of the computer, how to navigate, create documents and folders, manage your electronic filing system, customize the computer, and learn the basics of word processing (typing). Everything will be explained in the simplest, least technical way and with analogy. No prior computer knowledge required. This class is taught on PC's and Windows and is not suitable for Apple users. Microsoft Office Word 2010 - NEW

Level 2 Class: This course includes basic and advanced functions of Microsoft Word 2010. The skills students will learn include: Standard word processing, text manipulation, formatting pictures, page layout, creating and formatting tables. In addition, students will learn how to insert text boxes, WordArt, lists, hyperlinks, shapes, foreign symbols, headers, footers and more. These skills can be used for personal, as well as professional endeavors. No prior experience with Word is required, however, basic computer literacy is strongly encouraged or subject matter may be difficult to understand and follow. Become more comfortable with your iPad.  As a class, we will discuss and demonstrate the best apps from the following categories: productivity, reference, navigation, news, finance, education, music and games.  We will cover how to best sync your data to "the cloud" so that it is always available from any computer.  We will also discuss and demonstrate the best way to keep all of your data secure in the cloud and on your iPad. Facebook-NEW

This course is an introduction to the social networking service Facebook. We will start by setting up your Facebook profile which includes: creating an account, understanding your account, setting up your privacy, creating your profile, and how to deactivate your account. Students will then learn how to use the Facebook tools which include: how to find friends, how to upload pictures and videos, and "What's on your mind?". In this course, students will also learn about the resources Facebook has to offer, such as: joining and creating a group, planning and inviting people to an event, the posting of notes, and the sending of gifts. No prior experience with Facebook is required. However, it is highly recommended of students, whom do not have a strong understanding of computers and basic computer literacy, to take the "Joy of Computers" class prior to enrolling in this course.
