This course is an introduction to the computer. We will start from the bare bones basics, from learning the physical pieces of the computer, how to navigate, create documents and folders, manage your electronic filing system, customize the computer and learn the basics of word processing (typing). Everything will be explained in the simplest, least technical way and with analogy. No prior computer knowledge required. This class is taught on PC's and Windows and is not suitable for Apple users. Simple E-Mail-NEW

This course is an introduction to electronic mail. Learn how to create an e-mail account, send and receive messages, reply and forward mail, send attachments and learn to protect yourself from phishing and fraud. No prior experience with e-mail is required; however, it is highly recommended that you take the Joy of Computers class if you do not have a strong understanding of computers and basic computer literacy prior to enrolling in the course. Do you have a MacBook but are not sure how to use it? Stop guessing and get to know your Mac. Apple is changing how we integrate technology into our lives. Publisher Delight-NEW

This course includes basic and advanced functions of Microsoft Office Publisher. You will learn how to create multiple publications using the layouts and templates in Publisher. Create a brochure, newsletter, invitation, business card and more. These skills can be used for personal as well as professional endeavors. It is highly recommended that you take the Joy of Computers class if you do not have a strong understanding of computers and basic computer literacy prior to enrolling in the course.
