Drawing Fundamentals
In this class, you will be introduced to a strong foundation of skills that will result in hours of enjoyment and creativity. We will cover shading, perspective, pencil values, animals, people and much more. Bring your materials to the first class and be ready to draw! Please pick up a list of the materials needed at the CARD office before class starts.

Drawing Fundamentals II
Ready to take it to the next level? This class is for students who have already taken basic drawing classes. Students will work in pencil, as well as pen and ink. The color wheel will be introduced and one class will be with colored pencils. Pens and colored pencils will be supplied, but you will need to bring all other supplies with you to the first class. Please pick up a list of the materials needed at the CARD office before class starts.

Watercolor Fun
Ever wondered about the fun of using watercolor paints? Then this is the class for you! This is a beginning class for the first time watercolorist. Students will learn the tricks and techniques of using watercolor. In addition, students will learn how to control and mix paints, while painting a variety of subjects and completing a number of paintings. Instructor will furnish supplies for the first class and review the supplies needed for the remainder of the class.

Watercolor Fun II
Want to brush up on your watercolor painting skills? If you have some watercolor training already, then this is the class for you. You will paint a value study, learn glazing techniques and much more. Bring your paint materials to class and be ready to create! Please pick up a list of the materials needed at the CARD office before class starts.

Open Watercolor     NEW
Do you have a painting that has been collecting dust because you just dont know where to go next? The class will focus on what students need help with and what they want to learn more about. This class is for students who have watercolor experience. Bring your materials to class and be ready to paint!

Going Digital I
Have you always wanted to take great photos? Don't be intimidated by digital technology. This class is designated for photographers of all abilities. You will have fun while learning how to get the most from your camera. You will improve your techniques and enhance your skills whether you have a point and shoot camera or professional SLR. This class will help you take memorable photographs instead of everyday snapshots. There is a $5 supply fee payable to the instructor at the class.

Going Digital II    NEW
Do you want to learn how to take great holiday photos? In this class, you will learn fundamental and intermediate skills to create quality photographs that are well composed, posed, lit and memorable. You will improve your camera technique and enhance your photographic skills learned in Going Digital I. It is recommended you have basic camera knowledge for this session. There is a $5 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.

Glass Etching - NEW
Create your own beautiful plates, mirror or glasses. You will have the chance to etch a permanent design onto a mirror, glass picture frame, drinking or wine glass. There is a $15 supply fee payable to the instructor at the class.

Knitting for Beginners
In this class, you will learn the basics of knitting from "casting on" to making easy patterns with knit and purl stitches to "binding off". You will complete a quick and easy beginner's project in class. Please bring a ball or skein of yarn (sport weight or thick cotton yarn) in light bright colors, so your stitches will be easier to see, and knitting needles (the appropriate size is usually printed on the label of the yarn). Registration deadline is 5 days prior to course start date.

Knitting Beyond Scarves        
Are you tired of knitting scarves?  Have you made scarves for all your friends and family?  Then this is the class for you. In this class, we will take you beyond scarves and start you into the fun of knitting hats. Each hat must be made with a yarn that felts or shrinks when you wash it in hot water.  Bring your beginning knitting skills to this fun class and wow all your friends with hats!  Please bring 200 yards of sport weight wool and 200 yards of worsted weight wool.  Both yarns must be feltable.  Needles: US13 24" circular needles and US 13 double pointed needles.  Size H or I crochet hook for the fob.  There is a $5 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting. Registration deadline is 5 days prior to course start date.

Crochet for Beginners
In this class, you will learn the basics of crochet such as how to work stitches, rows, rounds and easy patterns. You will complete a quick and easy beginner's project in class. BBQ Academy                  NEW
Taste the succulent smoky flavor of a BBQ turkey.  Prepare a mouth watering roast for a holiday dinner.  You will learn how to use your BBQ year round, secrets to tender meat and creative rubs and marinades for perfect meat every time. There is a $15 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.

Indian Authentic Cuisine  
Indian cooking is fragrant and delicious. You will learn about Indian Specialty cooking, with a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. There is a $5 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.

Basic Cheese Making
Handmade cheeses for holiday gifts! Learn the basics of cheese making. You will make 4 types of soft cheese that you can take home to share with family and friends. There is a $10 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first class meeting.
