Level 1 class: This course is an introduction to the computer. We will start from the bare bones basics, from learning the physical pieces of the computer, how to navigate, manage and customize the computer and learn the basics of word-processing (typing) and surfing the Internet. Everything will be explained in the simplest, least technical way and with analogy.

| | Basics of Internet Use
Level 2 class: Learn the basics of using the internet, which includes: e-mail use, technical terms and hardware, netiquette, browsers, World Wide Web and getting an e-mail and instant message account. We will also touch on internet banking, chat and searches. If you are interested in this course, it is highly recommended that students take the Joy of Computers course first. Registration deadline is 5 days prior to course start date.

| | Introduction to Microsoft Word
Level 2 class: This class teaches the fundamentals of Microsoft Word, the current standard for word processing, text manipulation and formatting, the basics of page layout and an introduction to some of Word's most useful tools. These skills can be used for personal, as well as professional endeavors.

| | Become a Computer Tech!
This class is for those individuals who have never used a computer before. The class size will not exceed six students which will allow for more individualized attention. The class will cover; turning the computer on/off, how to use basic computer equipment, dragging & dropping with the use of a mouse, the basics of word processing, using the internet and e-mailing. This class is taught on PCs and Windows. This class is not suitable for Apple users. Registration deadline is 5 days prior to course start date.
