Cooking Fresh from the Garden
Preparing yummy, nutritious dishes with freshly harvested fruits and vegetables from the Dorothy Johnson Education Garden is one of many activities you will experience in this fun-filled camp. We will also build a solar oven, plant a mini-garden, create a cookbook, build a worm compost bin, and conduct insect hunts. A field trip to the GRUB Farm will give you a first hand look at a real, working farm. There is a $15 supply fee payable to the instructor the first day of camp. Instructor: Debra Abbott, School Garden Educator. Dorothy Johnson Center.
