Camp Cuisine                   

Does your child like to hang out in the kitchen and help you cook? This very popular camp will expose your child to cooking instruction, food preparation, and table presentation. Each day is filled with cooking projects that are kid friendly and tasty. Field trips and participant made cookbook included. Friday includes a lunch for parents made by the participants. Garden Cooking Camp

Want to learn how to cook using local fresh fruits from our farmer's markets and fresh vegetables from the Dorothy Johnson After School Garden?  Then Garden Cooking Camp is for YOU!  We'll have Taco Tuesday's, make pizza sauce from garden fresh tomatoes, and even learn how to make homemade peanut butter!  Come join the fun that includes a field trip to the local Organic GRUB Farm for a garden fresh meal and hands experience of a real working farm.  And to complete our week of food and fun, all kids will bring home a cookbook from the Garden Cooking Camp.  Instructor:  Flo Hamilton, After School Garden Teacher from Citrus and Rosedale Elementary Schools.  There is a $20 supply fee payable to the instructor on the first day of camp. Dorothy Johnson Center.
