Academy of Rock & Recording

Rock On! Calling all aspiring musicians... Whether you sing, play the guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, or other musical instrument, this camp is perfect for you. On the first day of camp, you will be placed in a band based on your age, playing ability, and musical interest. From there, you will learn how to compose your own music to perform with your group or learn a cover song from one of your favorite bands.  Academy of Rock is also held in an actual recording studio! You will experience how the recording process works and produce a live recording of your song. Students also learn about the mixing board, how to edit tracks using Pro Tools, and bring home a CD of your first recorded song to WOW your family and friends. Drums, keyboards, microphones, and amplifiers are available, but participants must provide all other instruments. Do you have an actor or actress in your house, or perhaps a future star? California Regional Theatre will be offering summer workshops for Ages 5-18.  These camps are designed to build skill in the area of performing arts including vocal performance, acting and dance. Workshops will be taught by veteran directors of professional and community theater. Each session is an exciting 3 week program designed to cultivate children's imagination, foster confidence, and have fun! Campers will be introduced to theatre through creative play, dramatics, music, and movement. Our instructors emphasize the process over product.  Each day will be filled with visual, auditory, and tactile learning tools. What a great opportunity to really explore the world of theatre!  Camps will be held at our 9000 sq. ft. Training and Education Center located at 3851 Morrow Ln. Chico. Kool Keyboard Camps

Calling all beginning piano students! Get a head start in learning the piano and music basics. You will explore rhythm and the piano keyboard to discover your own musical interest. Each student will need access to a piano or keyboard for daily playing time. After this four day camp, you will have a strong foundation to carry on your piano interests. There is a $20 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first day of camp. Instructor: Marci Pittman. Camps are held at the Piano Studio of Marci Pittman.
