Farm Camp at TJ Farms

Farm fun for everyone! Join Tim and Sarah Moss for a week at TJ Farms. If you are not afraid to "get a little dirty", then this camp is for you. You will learn how plants and animals grow, what tools are used on a farm and the daily routine of a working farm. You will have opportunities to plant, harvest and take home vegetables to share with your family.  Instructors: Tim and Sarah Moss. This camp will be held at TJ Farms, 3600 Chico Avenue.

Mountain Bike Camp

Experience the joys of mountain biking while exploring the trails and landscape of Bidwell Park! You will develop your riding skills, learn about bike maintenance, bike safety and health information. Explore rock caves, see abundant wildlife and discover the nature of Chico. Instructor Aren Timmel is a Professional level Mountain Bike Racer and has lead this camp for several years. Don't miss out on your opportunity to learn all the cool trails that are available to mountain bikers. Please note, week 2 is specifically for older campers that are more experienced riders. The rides will be longer and more challenging. Camp meets at the CARD office.

Aquatic Adventure Camp

Are you ready for an Extreme Experience? If so, then prepare yourself for a two-week adventure camp that includes water safety and boating skills, CPR and First Aid training, hiking, swimming trips, a full day at the Forebay with canoeing, kayaking and more. Camp ends with an overnight campout at Lake Oroville. Please contact the CARD office for a detailed itinerary of the activities.

Let's Get Growing Garden Camp

Insects, earthworms, crafts, cooking, planting and playing what more could you want in a garden camp? You are sure to have fun and learn a lot about gardening and nature. Make sure to wear clothes that can get dirty, since we will be doing hands-on gardening.  A healthy snack will be provided each day. There is a $10 supply fee payable to the instructor at the first day of camp. Instructor: Debra Abbott. This camp is held at the Dorothy Johnson Center, Cedar Room.
