Skateboard Camp

Don't let the summer "grind" get you down.  CARD's skateboard camp is the place to be!  Spend the morning learning how to ollie, kick turn and carve your board.  Each child needs to have their own skateboard and safety gear. Camp is held at the Humbolt Avenue Skate Park.

Mountain Bike camp is back for its 9^th year! Enjoy the outdoors exploring Bidwell Park on a mountain bike. Learn new trails, see local wildlife and ride to refreshing swimming holes! Professional mountain bike rider Aren Timmel with help from other local riders will be leading camps for new and returning campers aged 9-13 on weeks 1 and 2. Aren will also be leading a small, advanced class on week 3, taking some older/more experienced kids on some longer rides including the more technical South side of the park! All campers should have an off-road bike, helmet, sturdy shoes, water and a bag lunch. Camp meets at the CARD office.

BMX Camp                                

CARD and Silver Dollar BMX have partnered to bring BMX to Chico again this summer. Come and meet our professional instructor, Jake Peebles, and other national champion instructors.  If you are just beginning, or have some experience in the novice class, you will not want to miss out on Jake's secrets! This camp features basic instruction from the starting gate to the finish line including gate starts, passing, jumps and more!  This camp is open to boys and girls ages 3+. You will be required to purchase a USABMX rider membership at the first class meeting. This membership is $45 and is good for one year. If you are a current member, proof of membership is required.  The Membership will give riders access to every USABMX track in the United States, as well as a subscription to the PULL Magazine for 1 year.

*SPECIAL OFFER* Each class member will receive 4 Thursday night practice and race sessions at the Silver Dollar BMX track ($20 value).  Practice is from 6:00pm to 7:00pm with racing starting shortly thereafter.  Camp is held at the Silver Dollar BMX track.
