Please make sure you register early as many trips get canceled due to lack of enrollment 1 week prior to the trip registration deadline.     
 
REFUND POLICY
All cancellations must be made to the CARD Office and not to the tour escort. In the event of a cancellation, refunds will be based on the cost to CARD at the time the cancellation is made, i.e.: hotels, meals, admissions, etc. Last date for cancellation/refund is thirty (30) days prior to scheduled tour, unless another date is listed. 

  

Springtime in Savannah and Charleston

A motor coach will take travelers to Sacramento airport for a flight to Charleston where accommodations await for the first three nights. As you take in the beauty of the spring colors of Azaleas and Dogwoods, you are transported back into a time of plantations and horse drawn carriages. See where the cotton trade of the 1800's  changed the landscape and be lost in the Magnolia Gardens. No trip to this area would be complete without a stay where the Rockefellers,  Pultzer and Goodyear families built elaborate "cottages". This trip includes 12 meals, Roundtrip airport transfers and airfare, baggage handling for one suitcase, all applicable taxes, gratuities and tips and 7 nights hotel accommodations. $250.00 deposit due at sign up and final payment due January 20, 2010. Alaska and Canada

This journey will begin as we leave from Chico on a comfortable coach to San Francisco where we are transferred to the Sea Princess. The 10 day journey will include Ketchikan, Juneau, Haines and Victoria Canada with scenic Cruising Tracy Arm Fjord. Enjoy the first two days getting to know the Sea Princess as the breathtaking scenery passes by.  Throughout this journey, you will enjoy plenty of time to take a stroll through town, shop and take in the local history.  Every evening, the entertainment and fabulous cuisine will leave you excited for the next days adventures. All taxes, tips, meals, aboard ship entertainment and luggage handling (1 suitcase per person) is included in the cost. Call CARD office for single supplement costs. Oregon Trails Featuring the Portland Rose Festival and

Columbia Gorge Cruise

Experience the Portland Rose Festival, the second largest all-floral parade in North America and the single-largest spectator event in Oregon. Your trip begins when you fly to Portland, where you will meet your tour director and transfer to your hotel for a leisurely five night stay. Enjoy a Portland City tour including Washington Park with its famous International Rose Test Garden and the World Forestry Center Discovery Museum, a motor coach visit to the Mt. St. Helens Volcanic National Monument and a trip to Astoria, the northernmost city in Oregon situated where the Columbia River meets the Pacific Ocean. No trip to Portland would be complete without a visit to Multnomah Falls, the second highest year round waterfall in the nation and experiencing the history of the Columbia River Gorge. Learn about the Lewis and Clark Expedition on a cruise aboard the Sternwheeler Columbia Gorge, an authentic triple-deck paddle wheeler, providing breathtaking vistas. South Dakota Adventure

Experience Mount Rushmore by day and night, the Crazy Horse Memorial, a work still in progress, and take a Buffalo Jeep Safari through Custer State Park. Take the 1880 Train for a rail journey through history and scenery. You will be transported from Chico to Rapid City where you will only unpack once. If you are a history buff, train lover or gold enthusiast, this trip will meet all of your expectations. Your airport transfers, roundtrip airfare, daily sightseeing, 10 meals and 6 nights accommodation are all included in this wild west adventure.  Final payment is due before April 26.

Around San Francisco Bay

This three day, two night tour includes some of the highlights around the Bay.  Your journey begins as you are transported by motor coach to Mare Island in Vallejo with a tour of the island and a stop at St. Peter's Chapel to view the 29 Tiffany designed stained glass windows. Travel continues to Sonoma for a no host lunch and a visit to Sonoma Mission. Next it's on to General Vallejo's home for a guided tour. This evening, we will check into a Marin County Hotel for a 2 night stay. Day two will include a tour of Angel Island and the Marin County Civic Center. Day three begins with a guided tour of the San Francisco City Hall, then on to the California Culinary Academy for a tour and hosted lunch. There will be a stop at the Wharf to shop or just enjoy the sites and smells.

Swiss Highlights

After an overnight flight to Switzerland, you will check into the Montreux Palace on the shore of Lake Geneva for 6 nights.  The Geneva City tour includes the Floral Clock the Jet d'Eau (400ft high waterspout), and the United Nations Building. Day trips will be made to Zermatt to see the Matterhorn, Bern to see the Bear Pits, and Interlaken, famous for woodcarving. Board the Golden Pass train to journey to Gstaad, a charming resort, and Gruyeres to visit the world famous cheese factory. On the day before departure, an optional day tour is available to France and Italy.  The tour includes 6 breakfasts and 4 dinners.  Final payment is due before June 20.

Passion Play and Rhine Romantic Road

Enjoy this European tour with stops in Rudesheim, the Rhine River and Oberammergau. The highlight of the trip will include excellent reserved seating at The Passion Play. Be moved as you are taken back to the tragic and moving chronicle of Christ's final passion. Great Trains and Grand Canyons

Take a trip back in time and find yourself in the land of the Sinigua Indians. Ride the rails aboard the wilderness train or imagine the first time someone laid eyes on the Grand Canyon. Your journey will start with transfer from Chico to Sacramento where you will board your flight to the Phoenix Airport. Meet your guide and board the motor coach that will transport you to Sedona. You will unpack and enjoy 5 nights and 6 fun filled days exploring and enjoying this amazing area. Two rail journeys, 8 meals and much more await you as you look into the magnificent Grand Canyon Country. A deposit of 300.00 is due at the time of registration and final payment is due before August 1.

Country Roads of Italy

(optional two night Rome extension)

This is the trip for you if you want to spend time in Rome and Tuscany. This trip begins with transfers from Chico to Sacramento where your flight will transport you to Rome for an overnight stay. After breakfast, you will be transported aboard a motorcoach to the beautiful hilltop town of Assisi. After enjoying the Basilica of St. Francis and free time in this town, your journey will continue through into Tuscany. You will spend four nights amongst the gentle rolling vine clad hills in Montecatini Terme. From your hotel, you will take in the daily sites of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and the heart of Tuscany, Siena. Your eight day journey ends in Rome for a farewell dinner. You may add an optional two night Rome Extension for $499 per person double or $749 single person. A deposit of $500 is due at the time of registration and final payment is due before August 15.
