| | Little Hoopsters Basketball (1st-3rd) Little Hoopsters is a 5 week Basketball Program designed to introduce boys and girls to the sport. CARD leaders will teach basic fundamentals and simple game strategy. Teams will be organized each Saturday at the gym. The traditional green and white CARD jersey is required for this program. Uniforms are available for $11 at the CARD office prior to the start of the program. This is an instructional league; participants will not be contacted by a coach. | | YOUTH SPORTS TEAM FORMATION POLICY:
Teams will be formed by school under the following guidelines: Participants must register by school. There will be no exceptions. Students that are home schooled will be placed on a team by the youth sports staff. If a player is caught registering at a school they do not attend, the player will be removed from the league. There will be no refund and all games played with that player will be considered a forfeit.
Children MUST register in the grade they are registered in at school (no playing up.) If a player is found playing outside their grade level, the player will be removed from the league. There will be no refund and all games played with that player will be considered a forfeit.
Basketball Teams must have a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 12 players. Flag Football Teams must have a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 15.Schools not meeting the minimum will have one week to recruit additional players or members of the team will be placed with other school teams. Those not interested in being randomly assigned a team, will receive a refund.
Should a school have 14 interested players, the team will be split into two teams. Skills evaluations will take place at each school to best determine how to split teams. All participants MUST attend the skills evaluation should they be necessary.
There will be one head and one assistant coach per team. Coach’s children will be guaranteed placement on that particular team. Coaches must apply by the registration deadline to be considered for placement and must attend all trainings provided to hold their spot.
Each school will wear uniforms issued by CARD. Uniforms will be issued by coaches on site. The traditional green and white uniforms are only used for Sandlot Football and Little Hoopsters.
Due to teams formed by school and to ensure the integrity of the school format, no special requests or buddy forms will be honored.
There is zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike conduct of players or parents. Players or parents penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct will be penalized at the discretion of the Youth Sports Department. | |

| | Elementary Basketball (3rd – 6th) CARD Elementary Basketball is a fun 8 to 10 week recreational league for boys and girls. Practice times and location will be determined by the coach and will begin the first week in December. Divisions are designated by gender and grade level. Teams practice once or twice per week and play games on Saturdays. Each participant will play at least half of every game. All teams are coached by parent/student volunteers. Score is not kept at the 3rd or 4th grade level. All teams will be formed using the team formation policy. At the time of registration, please specify which school your child attends. | | Volunteer Coaches Needed Coach for your child's school elementary team! We are currently in the need for as many volunteer coaches as possible for our elementary basketball leagues. Time commitment includes a pre-season meeting, practice once a week, and games once a week on Saturdays. If you are interested, you must turn in a volunteer application by November 13th into the CARD office.

There will be a JV division (grades 9 & 10) and a Varsity division (grades 11 & 12) if there are enough participants to support two leagues. All teams will be formed using the team formation policy. CARD coaches will conduct practice one to two times per week with games once a week. Girls play games Saturday nights and Boys play Sundays.
