Soggy Dog Day

CARD and Trailblazer Pet Supply are proud to present the 5th annual Soggy Dog Day, a dog fundraiser and free health fair.

Bring your four-legged friend and splash the day away at Shapiro Pool! This wonderful event includes FREE health and wellness information for your pets, provided by various local organizations (vendor list below). Interested in becoming a vendor? Contact the CARD office for more information.

CARD Vendor Application

All proceeds go toward CARD’s fund for a new dog park. This event is split into seven 30-minute time slots for water play. Fee includes 30 minutes of water play, a Goody Bag for each dog, prizes, giveaways, and a photo opportunity with your dog!  

Don’t own a four legged friend? That’s OK! This highly entertaining event is free to watch. 

When: Saturday, November 3, 11 AM–4 PM   Rain or Shine!

Where: Shapiro Pool at Chico Junior High, 280 Memorial Way (Google Map)

Cost: $10 per dog for 30min of water play. We recommend that you sign your dog up for just 1 spot!

*Dogs must be accompanied by an adult, 18+. We love kids and welcome them to come out and watch! However, all children must stay in the spectator area which will be roped off in the bleachers.

  • Black Cat Photography specializes in studio and natural light pet and family photography.
  • Butte Humane Society (BHS) is one of the oldest non-profit agencies in Butte County, working since 1911 to bring humanitarian care to dogs, cats and other animals. BHS will be offering up information about their adoption services as well as promoting their new animal assisted therapy program.
  • Chico Animal Shelter is owned by the City of Chico and operated by the City of Chico Police Department under Animal Services. Visit their booth to learn more about licensing information and microchipping.
  • Hempfulfarms Chico aims to bring the healing power of hemp to people and pets. Visit their booth to learn about Puddy Pet Products, their line of pet wellness treats and salves.
  • North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG) works with emergency services to educate the public about disaster preparedness, and assist in sheltering and evacuation of animals during a disaster.
  • Sitter For Your Critters helps boost your pet’s spirit and ease their lonely heart when you’re forced to leave them home. They also offer concierge service, overnight & dog walking services!
  • TrailBlazer Pet Supply takes very seriously the honor of being entrusted with one’s pet. Each person and each pet is unique, and they try their hardest to accommodate the needs and wishes of each client. Visit their booth for discounted nail trims and free grooming samples!
  • Tranquil Paws champions The Tellington TTouch Method, a gentle method of training animals that helps develop a deep bond between people and their animals. Tellington TTouch consists of touches, body wraps, leading exercises, and the playground of higher learning.
