Celebrate spring at the end of a string! See the amazing spectacle of hundreds of colorful kites flying at the same time. Kite Day is a fun and free event for all ages to enjoy and celebrate the return of spring. This year’s event will feature live music, food trucks, fun and games, and bounce houses.

Soar with Us at the Kite Spectacle

Experience the breathtaking sight of hundreds of colorful kites soaring through the sky at this iconic Chico event. Be one of the first 400 kids to arrive and receive a kite to decorate and fly! Don't forget to pick up your free Kite Day button from Bird in Hand to add to your collection.

Fun-Filled Activities for Everyone

Join us for a day of family-friendly activities including a Spring Market featuring floral bouquets, garden starts, and other spring goodies, bounce houses, games, crafts, balloon animals, and live music. While you're here, take advantage of the park's amenities such as playgrounds, volleyball courts, a new bocce complex, tennis and pickleball courts, and horseshoe pits.

Food and Bike Valet Service

Enjoy the spring weather and ride your bike to the event! Chico Velo will provide a free bike valet service. Refuel with lunch from our selection of food trucks. Stay hydrated with Culligan of Chico's refillable water station.
