NEW Dancing Across the Spectrum: Creative Movement for Children with Autism

A creative movement class for children on the autism spectrum. Students will learn about the possibilities of their bodies as they explore movement within the elements of dance: space, time, and energy. They will play games that will increase their awareness and comfort with their bodies, as well as with other dancers. They will interact not only with ideas, but also with their own reflections, as well as with other dancers, developing their awareness of space and ability to constructively interact with others. Movement is a fundamental aspect of being human, and all children should have an opportunity to get to know themselves, others, and the world more fully through the incredibly fun and life-changing experience of creative movement!
