About the Chico Community Band

Pick up your instrument, dust it off and get ready to play! There are no auditions for this band, just sign up and come on down to Tuesday night rehearsals. The Chico Community Band, a wind and percussion ensemble with approximately 60 participants, is open to musicians ranging from teens to seniors. Formed before World War II, the Band continues to practice a repertoire of marches, show tunes, and innovative pieces by current composers that it performs for local audiences. Performances include Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veterans Day celebrations, a spring and winter concert.

Fee: $30 for the year, paid at rehersal.
