Creative Nature Practices for Health and Wellness

May contain: poster, advertisement, flyer, brochure, and paper

Learn contemplative and creative nature-based practices that can benefit mood and physical wellness. Research on the connections between health and nature will be explored.

Forest Therapy or “Forest Bathing” is one of the researched nature practices connecting our health with the health of the forest.  By “bathing” or breathing in the forest’s aerosols (phytoncides), as well as sensing the colors, sounds, textures, and smells, we can improve our immune systems, our moods, and decrease chronic stress.

Using forest therapy guided sensory invitations, nature writing, movement, earth art making, and more, we will discover uplifting and meaningful relationships with nature- on our own inner and outer journeys.

Besides experiencing the gifts of nature, we will learn how we can gratefully reciprocate and give back.
