Ever wanted to learn to draw but didn’t know where to start? This course is for people at all levels of skill who want to learn to draw. Through clear explanations, demonstrations, and practice, learn the five basic drawing skills needed to loosen your hand and sharpen your eye. Working from plants and still life objects, we will cover contour and gesture drawing, negative and positive shapes, proportion and perspective, as well as light and shadow. Materials required: spiral bound sketchbook (60 lb paper, fine tooth surface, 9x12 or larger), graphite pencils (H, HB and 2B recommended), a pink pencil eraser, a kneaded eraser, and a pencil sharpener.
