Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) invites you to embark on a storybook adventure in the park at the 60th annual Spring Jamboree on Saturday, April 8th, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to celebrate spring with various games, crafts, and activity stations, all with spring or storybook themes! There will be carnival games, face painting, bouncing castles, floral arrangements, and of course, the annual Easter Bunny photo op.

For the first time, this year will feature an adventure treasure hunt! A variety of community organizations will be on-hand to host a game or craft station to assist participants in completing their Spring Jamboree adventure card that will earn them a prize for their participation. All completed adventure cards will be entered in a raffle to win CARD credits.

“This year marks the 60th annual Spring Jamboree. It’s a special milestone year because it is also CARD’s 75th birthday,” said CARD’s general manager, Annabel Grimm. “We are incredibly excited for the adventure treasure hunt–This new activity provides an opportunity to be more inclusive while at the same time increasing community engagement, interaction, and PLAY for the whole family.”
