Introduction to Sailing - 2 Options
Join the Butte Sailing Club for an introduction to sailing. Course covers boating safety, knots, rigging and sailing theory. On the water skills such as boat handling, docking, sail trim and capsize recovery will be taught on the Vagabond 14 sailboats. This class follows the guidelines set by US Sailing but does not offer a US Sailing certificate.
Single Day Option - Ranger 20 Day sailor
Ages: 14+
Fee: $125 - per peson, one day clinic.

Interested in a dry day sailor boat. Learn to sail a Ranger 20 Day sailor at the Forebay. A single one day introduction to sailing in a larger boat specifically designed for inland waterways and lakes. These boats are easy to trailer around the country and a perfect sailing experience for both beginners and advanced sailors.
Come as an individual, couple or group. Each boat will take up to 3 people and a coach in the boat.

What to Expect: You will get wet! Bring a towel. Wear clothes that are comfortable and can get wet, shoes should either be tennis shoes or sandals with a heel strap. NO FLIP FLOPS.
