Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) is excited to announce the beginning of the Chapman Park renovation construction starting Monday, June 5. In December 2021, the Chapman Park Renovation project was one of 62 selected projects throughout California for a $2.9 million grant to renovate and expand the existing park space.

After a successful and very busy public input session at the Thursday Night Market, Saturday Farmer’s Market, and at Bidwell Junior High, Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) along with Confluence Inc. has now made an online CARD Aquatics Center survey available.

The Chico Creek Nature Center (CCNC) received its Restricted Species Permit from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife last month, a permit the organization has been striving to achieve for several years. This momentous accomplishment will allow the CCNC to inhabit non-releasable restricted birds and mammals in its Janeece Webb Living Animal Museum in Bidwell Park.
