Prop 68 Grant Funding
Parks should be a place where residents of all ages can engage in healthy, outdoor activities and gather safely for family-friendly fun. In the spirit of making park space more accessible in our cities, Prop 68 made competitive grant funding available from the California Department of Parks and Recreation in order to improve existing parks and create new parks.
CARD is pursuing the Prop 68 grant to continue renovation and expansion of DeGarmo Park in the 14 acres that remain undeveloped.
A key part of the process is to engage with the community surrounding DeGarmo Park to ensure that the park will include the feedback and priorities of those who will use it most. Your participation is essential to helping us submit a strong grant application.
Help us plan your play by taking our Prop 68 survey!
We want as much input as possible! Below are times and locations of community based planning meetings we will be holding. Should we get the funding, we want to provide a successful and sustainable park that people want in their neighborhood. Join us at the meetings below to ensure your voice is heard!
