Sewing

Sewing – a dynamic lifelong skill, essential for the DIYer.  If you are new to sewing, these classes are for you!  Learn basic stitches, sewing terms and how to use your machine while making a jewelry roll, seatback storage sack, adorable apron, or market tote.  Please bring your machine in good working order (some machines available for rent, reserve at registration) and materials listed below.

Jewelry Roll

This accessory neatly organizes your baubles and bangles at home or while travelling. Techniques introduced in this project include pockets, zippers, and topstitching.

Store treasures or trash in this bag designed to hook around a vehicle headrest.  Techniques introduced in this project include forming and applying binding, making straps and attaching buckles.

Adorable Apron

Cook with class wearing a ruffled apron you fashioned yourself.  Techniques introduced in this project include making symmetrical curved edges, gathering a ruffle, and making ties.
