Summer Dance Intensive

A summer dance intensive right here in Chico with the best of the best homegrown talent! Many Inspire alumni have gone on to professional careers in choreography and dance education and now they are all coming together for one week to work with you!!! Contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and so much more! Dancers will get a taste of what is current in the industry and what dance at Inspire can be! Beginning through Advanced technique levels will be taught in multiple dance styles and genres. Dancers will Learn the roots of jazz dance and experience what being a dancer is all about! Level-appropriate techniques will be taught in multiple dance styles. The day will start with a full-body warm-up followed by instruction in the dance styles that will cover technical skills and choreography. Classes will be led by Inspire staff and alumni. The intensive will culminate in a mini showcase performance at the end of the week! Wear comfortable dance or athletic wear that allows full range of motion, socks, and bring your dance shoes if you have them. Bring snacks and a refillable water bottle. All participants will receive an intensive t-shirt. $25 material fee due on the first day.

Scholarship Information

Inspire School of the Arts and Science has scholarships available to students who meet the Free and Reduced Lunch guidelines, thanks to the North Valley Community Foundation! If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please submit your Lunch Letter from CUSD via email to info@chicorec.gov. You may also bring a copy of the letter into the CARD office. Eligible students may use the scholarship for up to 2 camps. The scholarship covers 80% of the camp registration fee.
