Thrive Afterschool Enrichment

Animals of the Nature Center

Get up close and personal with the animals living at the Chico Creek Nature Center. Why does the owl hoot? How does the snake slither? What do tarantulas do to protect themselves? Animals serve a crucial role in our world but not everyone knows the kind of roles these species serve. Students will gain an understanding of the scientific reasoning behind various animal traits and get to meet and, near the end of the session, get a chance to hold, feed and care for these animals. Students are welcome to retake this class if they are enjoying meeting all the animals and, of course, new students will meet all the animals for the first time. Nature Center, Victor Ibarra
