Chico Area Recreation & Park District (CARD) announces the retirement of Jeff Carter, its dedicated and esteemed legal counsel, after an illustrious 36-year career of unwavering commitment and exemplary service.

Jeff Carter joined CARD in 1988 and has been an integral part of our team ever since. His wealth of knowledge, legal expertise, and commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics have played a crucial role in the success and growth of our organization over the years.

During his tenure, Jeff has been at the forefront of navigating complex legal matters, providing invaluable counsel that has contributed to CARD’s achievements and standing in the community. His dedication has set a standard of excellence that will be remembered for years to come.

Tom Lando, a long-time member of the Board of Directors at CARD, reflected on Jeff’s tenure, expressing gratitude for Jeff’s remarkable service.

“Jeff Carter’s contributions to CARD have been immeasurable,” said Lando. “His legal acumen, leadership, and unwavering dedication have left an incredible mark on our community.”

In honor of Jeff Carter’s service, CARD is proud to announce the naming of its Board Meeting room at the CARD Community Center after him–the “Jeff Carter Room.” This room will stand as a lasting tribute to his legacy and the impact he has had on our organization.

“We are delighted to honor Jeff’s exceptional career by naming our boardroom after him,” said CARD General Manager Annabel Grimm. “This dedication serves as a testament to the enduring impact he has made at CARD, and in the community.”

As Jeff embarks on a well-deserved retirement, CARD extends its heartfelt gratitude for his years of service and wishes him the very best in this new chapter of his life.
