The Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) regrets to announce that Chico Kite Day, originally scheduled for Sunday, April 14th, has been postponed due to anticipated rainy weather. The event will now take place on Sunday, April 21st, from 12–3 PM at Community Park, located at 1900 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Pkwy, Chico, CA 95928.

Despite the change in date, attendees can still look forward to exciting activities planned for the event, including kite flying, a Spring Market, bounce houses, games, crafts, live music, and more. The first 400 kids to arrive will receive a free kite to decorate and fly.

Ride your bike to the event and enjoy the spring weather! Chico Velo will provide a free bike valet service near the south end of the park. Refuel with lunch from our selection of food trucks and stay hydrated with Culligan of Chico's refillable water station.
