Little Dragons - Fencing

Chico Swordfighting at My Fencing Center is entering its 13th year of teaching fencing at the North State, teaching traditional skills of swordplay and swordsmanship for fun, personal growth and competition. Classes held at My Fencing Center are all electric fencing. Equipment will be provided with the caveat that if a blade is broken for any reason, it must be paid for. All students must purchase a non-competitive USFA membership for $10. This is good for the fencing year which ends 7/31/19. This will be handled on the first day of class.

Classical Fencing featuring the Rapier Sword

Doug Coronado has been fencing Rapier for 30 years after learning Olympic fencing. He has held many important titles in the SCA such as Guildmaster of Fence for 20 years, White Scarf for 9 years, and currently Master of Defense for the last 3 years. This class focuses on the fundamentals of Rapier fencing. Attention to detail will be heavily emphasized. Classes will be held at Chico Swordfighting at My Fencing Center. Equipment will be provided on a limited basis. Please bring a water bottle. All students must purchase a non-competitive USFA membership for $10. This is good for the fencing year which ends 7/31/19. This will be handled on the first day of class.

Adult Fencing Class

Fencing is not just for kids! It is one of the few sports that is a great equalizer. Everyone has attributes that will contribute to the success of their fencing.
