AQUATICS

Lifeguards: certified applicants ONLY

  • $16.50 - 18.00/hr depending on experience, Part Time

CARD is looking for motivated and energetic individuals to join our Summer 2023 Aquatics team! Season starts May 12th and ends August 18th (with the possibility of a season extension through Labor Day).

Under supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, the Aquatics Team members  will work to provide a safe and enjoyable aquatics experience for lesson participants and pool patrons. 

REIMBURSEMENT FOR CERTIFICATION COURSES AVAILABLE!

 

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

After School Program Recreation Leader: Position open until filled

  • $15.50 - $16.00/hr, Part Time
  • After School Program Recreation Leaders will assist children in grades 1-5 with academics, plan and facilitate structured activities, and create a safe and fun environment. We are looking for applicants who enjoy and have experience working with children, are energetic, responsible, and have strong group management skills. Applicants must be able to work independently with a group of 15 children and ensure their wellbeing.

 

PARKS

Maintenance Aide I

$15.50/hr, Part Time

The position of Maintenance Aide I is an important part of the CARD team, providing support for a variety of needs in our parks and facilities. That support includes job responsibilities such as:

  • Set up and cleanup of recreation programs and special events;
  • Assist with planting projects and helping maintain and remove trees and shrubs;
  • Perform a variety of custodial duties including restroom and facility cleaning, sweeping, mopping and trash removal;
  • Assist in routine semi-skilled work in landscaping, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, sport field preparation and maintenance;
  • Assist in the repair and replacement of playground equipment.

 

Since CARD runs programming and rents facilities 7 days a week, this position will work Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 2:30pm. Candidates with the ability to work weekend shifts will be considered a definite plus.

 

Volunteers: 

YOUTH SPORTS VOLUNTEERS:

We need your help! Our awesome volunteers are what makes our programs so special. We are looking for dedicated people who are interested in spreading a "love of the game" while helping youth in a positive and safe environment. Each position requires getting fingerprinted, attending a pre-season and on-site meeting, holding one practice a week during the season, and attending games.

We are currently recruiting Head Coach and Assistant Coaches for youth sports teams (5th grade and below). Typically volunteers only spend 3-4 hours per week for the duration of the season.

ANIMAL CARE VOLUNTEER:

Are you interested in animals, educating others, and giving back to the community? Then come volunteer with us at the Chico Creek Nature Center! Our wonderful and hardworking volunteers are the backbone of the Living Animal Museum. As an Animal Care Volunteer, you will learn about our animals, handle and take care of them, and lead animal introductions for kiddos and the general public.
