    PARKS

    Park Labor IV: Open Until Filled

    • $15.00-$15.50/hr, extended part-time
    • CalPers eligible
    • Park Labor IV's perform a wide variety of manual labor and custodial duties related to the repair and maintenance of open space facilities, buildings, structures, grounds, and swimming pools. This important position guarantees that our facilities are safe and ready to go for next day programming and events such as weddings and birthday parties.

     

    RECREATION

    Youth Flag Football Coaches & OfficialsApplications due 3/12

    • $14.00/hr
    • CARD is currently looking for energetic, passionate and kind people to staff our upcoming spring flag football programs. Staff are responsible for making sure all players/coaches/spectators are gaining a “love of the game” in a positive, safe and age appropriate environment, while following the expectations and goals of the CARD Youth Sports Department.

    Youth Volleyball Coaches & OfficialsApplications due 3/12

    • 14.00/hr
    • CARD is currently looking for energetic, passionate and kind people to staff our upcoming spring volleyball programs. Staff are responsible for making sure all players/coaches/spectators are gaining a “love of the game” in a positive, safe and age appropriate environment, while following the expectations and goals of the CARD Youth Sports Department.

    Other Youth Sports Coaches & Officials: Applications due 3/12

    • Chico Area Recreation & Park District is accepting applications for staff for our anticipated spring programming. We are actively recruiting staff that have experience in multiple sports (preference given to applicants with baseball, basketball, football, soccer, track/running, volleyball, and personal training/fitness experience), and have a passion for positively impacting the youth of the community through sports.

    Adult Softball Umpire: First review 3/12, Due 3/21

    • $18.00-$22.00/game (approx 65 mins)
    • CARD needs people who can officiate in a recreational setting.  Officials need to communicate with players, partners and Field Supervisors during the course of the game and be prepared to enforce and explain rules.

    Sports Field Supervisor (Director): First review 3/1, Due 3/22

    • $16.00/hr, part-time
    • CARD is looking for a motivated and energetic person to join our Adult Rec Sports team! The Field Specialist oversees a variety of Adult Rec Sports out at various athletic facilities in Chico. The Field Specialist interacts with participants and supports our Sports Officials during CARD League games

    Camp Chico Creek Rec Leader II: First review 3/1, open until filled

    • $14.00/hr, part-time
    • Camp Chico Creek is designed to provide outdoor recreation and to foster awareness of nature in a fun, safe, and caring setting. The Recreation Leader II, with minimal direction from a Supervisor, Coordinator, Program Manager, or Director, will plan, organize, and conduct activities for recreation program participants.

    Camp Chico Creek Spring Afternoon Enrichment Leader: First review 3/1, open until filled

    • $14.00/hr, part-time
    • The Chico Creek Nature Center, located in the heart of Bidwell Park, presents nature afternoon enrichment camps for children ages 5 to 11. The program is designed to provide outdoor recreation and to foster awareness of nature in a fun, safe, and caring setting. Campers enjoy hands-on natural science labs, up-close animal visits, nature walks through the park, outdoor games, arts and crafts, building nature forts, and swimming in Big Chico Creek as weather permits.  The Recreation Leader II, with minimal direction from a Supervisor, Coordinator, Program Manager, or Director, will organize, and conduct activities for recreation program participants.

    Summer Camp Rec Leader II: Applications due by 3/1, open until filled

    • $14.00/hr, part-time
    • Camp Chi Da Ca is an ALL outdoor nature camp located at Hooker Oak Park.  Camp activities include singing camp songs, hiking, creek play, arts, crafts, games and much more. Leaders will plan and lead activities for groups of children aged 4 - 12.   Candidates with an outdoor education background are highly desired.
    • Summertime Delight is a traditional day camp.  Leaders plan activities based on weekly themes.  Camp activities include arts, crafts, games, daily swimming, weekly field trips and much more.  Leaders work indoors and outdoors. Campers are aged 5-12 years old.Camp Chi Da Ca

    Summer Sports Camp Staff: Applications due 3/28

    • $14.00/hr, part-time
    • Chico Area Recreation & Park District is accepting applications for staff for our Summer sports camps. We are actively recruiting staff that have experience in multiple sports (preference given to applicants with baseball, basketball, football, soccer, track/running, volleyball, and personal training/fitness experience), and have a passion for positively impacting the youth of the community through sports.

    AQUATICS

    Lifeguard I/II: First review 3/1, open until filled

    • $14.00-$15.00/hr, part-time
    • With the general guidance and direction of the Aquatics Coordinator and/or the Aquatics Supervisor, the Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons and participants by maintaining control over the pool area.  Lifeguard II - must be 17 years of age or older by hire date and have at least 1 season's experience working in an Aquatic setting. Must have at least one full season working as a lifeguard.

    Head Lifeguard: First review 3/1, open until filled

    • $16.00/hr, part-time
    • With the general guidance and direction of the Aquatics Coordinator and/or the Aquatics Specialist, the Head Lifeguard will assist the Aquatics Coordinator and/or Aquatics Specialist with the implementation and administration of the aquatics program. 

    Swim Instructor: First review 3/1, open until filled

    • $14.00/hr, part-time
