Located next to Bidwell Junior High School, this popular swimming pool is utilized throughout the year by the Bidwell Junior High School Physical Education Department, the Pleasant Valley High School Swim Team and the Aqua Jets Swim Team. CARD seasonally offers swim lessons, open rec swim, and open family swim hours.     

As of early 2016, Shapiro pool is non-operational until further notice. Built in 1956, the pool needs significant renovations to meet modern standards, and funding isn’t available. Swim programming has been transferred to Pleasant Valley Pool.
