A summer dance intensive right here in Chico with the best of the best home grown talent! Many Inspire alumni have gone on to professional careers in choreography and dance education and now they are all coming together for one week to work with you! Contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, and so much more.

Learn the roots and basics of jazz dance and get a taste of what being a dancer is all about! Beginning and intermediate techniques will be taught in multiple dance styles including jazz, tap, and hip-hop. The day will start with a full-body warm-up to pop music followed by instruction in the dance styles that will cover technical skills and choreography.

This math camp celebrates the many different ways that we can see and understand mathematical ideas. Come learn how math is an open, creative, and visual subject. Our camp will show you that every problem can be seen and solved differently.

Join us for an amazing week of young artists gathering to grow their voice and celebrate their unique selves. Students will study proper musical theater voice technique from credentialed and certified vocal instructors, observe master classes led by musical theater professionals, explore musical theater styles, and sing, sing, sing!

Join us for a week of learning the core elements of robotics. You will also put your new skills to the test in our robot soccer game at the end of the week! Students will be placed in teams, led by members of Inspire’s very own Robotics Team in designing, building, and operating a robot in a head-to-head soccer match against other teams.

Have you ever wanted to play in a rock band!? Pop and Rock Band Camp combines the interests and talents of student musicians who play guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, and/or sing. The camp, for intermediate to advanced, offers the opportunity for student musicians to learn how to play and perform classic and current pop and rock songs.

Come explore your creativity, drawing and collaging skills in this hands-on art workshop. Together we’ll explore ways to use collaging techniques to express yourself through journaling. You will learn exciting mixed-media techniques that include using assemblage collage, paper quilting, abstract backgrounds, and paper mosaics to create your own art journal.

Are you interested in making movies? Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to be a cinematographer, a video editor, or a director? Come join the next generation of Chico film makers. Learn video making techniques from accomplished film makers, teachers, and students. Students will be given a prompt and work in small groups to create a short film.
