Cinema Production

People with cameras in a studio setup, possibly doing a photography workshop or project.

Are you interested in making movies? Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to be a cinematographer, a video editor, or a director? Come join the next generation of Chico filmmakers. Learn video-making and editing techniques from accomplished filmmakers, teachers, and students. Students will be given a prompt and work in small groups to create a short film. Students will practice using cinema cameras, editing software, audio equipment and directing. By the end of this cinema camp, students will have worked behind a camera, recorded audio, directed a short film and learned how to edit in Adobe Premiere Pro. On the final day, we will have a short film fest revealing the student-made films. Come ready to meet like-minded filmmakers, share your love for filmmaking, and have fun.
