INDOOR VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE: 9th-12th Grade

Registration availability in all leagues is limited based on the number of staff/volunteers that are available and facility space. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.  

Our spring mini-league is formed by skills evaluations to give players an opportunity to meet new friends and create better-balanced teams!  

Bump, set, and spike your way to fun this spring!  This Mini Leagues will feature a 5-game guarantee for each team (no end-of-season tournament) on Thursdays at the Dorothy F. Johnson Center or Field House and one practice a week during the season on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at the Dorothy F. Johnson Center.   

 Mini-league teams will be loosely based on grade and a skills evaluation (not by school). We anticipate grades will be combined based on the total number of participants that register.  Genders will be combined for volleyball. All teams will be formed at the discretion of CARD staff and skills evaluations. 

SPRING REGISTRATION INFORMATION

9th-12th Grade Early Bird Registration Deadline: 3/12/23 ($89) 

9th-12th Grade Final Registration Deadline: 3/19/23 ($99) < Registration may close earlier if the leagues fill! 

GENERAL INFORMATION

Updates: Players will be emailed their team information (from an @chicorec.com address) by Friday 3/31/23 by 5 PM.   

Practice Days: Practices will be on Tuesdays or Wednesdays from 4/4-5/2 at the Dorothy F. Johnson Center. Practice times will be 1.5 hours long and vary between 4-8:30p. Practice day requests are not available.  

Games: Game schedules will be posted at www.TeamSideline.com/chico by Friday 3/31/23 by 5 PM.  Games will run on Thursdays from 4/6/23-5/4/23. Each team will have a 5-game guarantee. Games will be played any time between 4-8 PM at the Dorothy F. Johnson Center or the “Arron Ray Clark Memorial” Field House gym. Each game is approximately one hour.  

Uniforms: The cost of a team shirt is included in the cost of registration. Team shirts will be handed out on-site during week 1 or week 2’s games.   

Coaches: Coaches in the 9th-12th grade leagues will be CARD-paid staff.  

Special Requests: One buddy request can be made during the registration process Coach requests are not accepted. Buddies must request each other. Please read the buddy request process closely to ensure it is valid.  We are not able to accommodate practice requests.

  • Skills Evaluations: Skills evaluations will happen the week of March 27. You will be contacted with specific times and days the week before. Please note, that skills evaluations may not happen on regular days of play (T/W/Th) based on the number that is needed.
